I have recently continued to work on a series of drawings that take inspiration from the movement, energy and atmosphere of the city streets. I am using poor quality, pixelated mobile phone videos of street scenes as inspiration and often draw from the videos or direct observation from cafe windows. Text continues to be used in my work, as I am inspired to incorporate the sounds, phrases and thoughts that occur within the space I am recording. These works are about the passing of time and transience, and I am currently experimenting with alternative ways of presenting them; perhaps using lighting within frames without mounts, to preserve the delicate nature of the tracing paper surface. I would like to work on a larger scale.............
